Lake Ohau Lodge is an iconic 72 room NZ high country lodge on the shores of Lake Ohau in the Southern Alps. We are a medium to large family run business catering for tours and functions over summer and skiers and snowboarders over winter. RECEPTIONIST - We are looking for someone who makes a good first impression and is welcoming, polite, happy and efficient and who will fit in with the existing team. The successful applicant will have excellent computer skills and experience and in particular with
Hotel Systems with booking, invoicing and POS systems
Microsoft Office, especially word processing, spreadsheet and outlook
Ideally the successful candidate would have some hospitality experience, accounting skills and in particular takings reconciliation experience.
The position requires you to manage the RHS booking system, answer the phone, reply to emails, take bookings, prepare bills and reconcile takings.
You will liaise with the restaurant and kitchen and will be required to assist in the restaurant or bar.
The wage is negotiable and dependent on experience and qualifications.
BARTENDER - We are looking for an experienced bartender, ideally with their managers certificate to work in our busy bar from January. You will be required to serve drinks and snacks in the bar, wine wait on tables in our restaurant and in addition is it hoped you can make a damn fine espresso! At the end of your shift you are required to reconcile the takings, clean the bar and public areas.

1 x BARISTA WAITER/WAITRESS - We have a busy remainder of the summer season and require an experienced barista to be part of our fantastic team. Typically you work either a split shift or a straight shift waiting on tables in the restaurant as well as making coffee. We look for people who take pride in giving friendly service and who enjoy people.

Ohau Snow Fields Employment
Ohau Snow Fields is the original NZ high country boutique snow and ski field situated in the Southern Alps south of Mt Cook. Ohau has a double chair lift, a platter and a snow mat.
We are seeking staff to fill the following positions. Please accept my apologies if I don't always reply as I will only follow up with applicants who I feel are suitable applicants.
The applicant needs to have 3-5 years of experience and NZ Avalanche 2 or the overseas equivalent.
The job requires operating PB400W, PB200W and PB240 groomers on the snow field and on occasions clearing snow on the ski area access road. Typically you will be required to work from 4pm in the afternoons until grooming is finished, 4-10 hours. You will also be required to work morning shifts after a snowfall or when the snow is better suited for grooming early morning. Ohau is a small snowfield operation and as such you may also be required to help when needed with sundry jobs such as maintenance, snow making, rental, snow clearing etc. It is also expected that you will be required while grooming to check and monitor the Techno Alpin snow making operation. The wage rate offered for this job vacancy is subject to experience and is negotiable
