Working at Lake Ōhau Lodge and Ōhau Snow Fields
Our Mantra - Treat every guest as a valued visitor to our own home.
Lake Ōhau Lodge is an iconic 62 room NZ high country lodge on the shores of Lake Ōhau in the Southern Alps, the headwaters of the Waitaki Valley. The Lodge is unique in its style and we pride ourselves on providing genuine and friendly Kiwi hospitality along with amazing food. We live in an extraordinary natural landscape with a large lake, mountains, river valleys and walking trails on our back door step so if you love the outdoors, one of these positions could be for you. We are a medium to large family run business catering for tours and functions over summer and skiers and snowboarders over winter. We are the Ōhau family and we treat every guest as if they were a guest in our own home. We choose positive and happy people who will work as a team and who will go that extra distance, offering that personal touch to make our guests feel welcome.
With Ōhau Snow Fields being relatively remote (40km from the local town and supermarket) we have a variety of staff accommodation and meal packages available. From $100 p/w to $300 p/w.
