Mountain Goats Program
The Mountain Goats Programme is for children who will have ski or board lessons once or twice a day for over 2 days. They will get to know their instructors well and vice versa and will progress their skiing skills with regular, fun lessons.
By registering in the mountain goats program all lessons are half price. Registration is $40 and lessons at half price $17. Register with snow school and ticket office.
We do expect children to be at an age such that they are able to ski or ride in a group with others. It is possible to start your children on the program and if one or both find it a little hard then the registration can be refunded. Rest assured that while the children will be extremely well looked after, it will be in a skiing sense not as an organized crèche.
So they can have lessons twice a day for as many days as you stay at Ohau. The group size can be expected to be up to 8-10 skiers or boarders depending on the similarity of ability level.
If you have children who have not skied before and you are only intending to stay a couple of days you may be best to start on the learners lifts with the Never Ever Package to see how your children like skiing or boarding and progress to the Development Package which includes all lifts.
Child / Youth rates apply to school children or 17 years and under. Lift passes are free for children 5 years and under. The Child / Youth rates apply for all other products. A school ID or birth certificate may be required.
