With the 2013 winter season fast approaching, Lake Ohau has the following job opportunities and positions available in the Lodge.

Lake Ohau Lodge Employment

Lake Ohau Lodge is an iconic 72 room NZ high country lodge on the shores of Lake Ohau in the Southern Alps, a medium to large wilderness lodge catering for tours and functions over summer and skiers and snowboarders over winter. Lake Ohau is a family run business. It is unique in it’s style and we pride ourselves on our hospitality. We are seemingly remote but in a beautiful location so this position will suit someone who enjoys the outdoors.

WAITRESS

This winter season starting late June, we are looking for a waitress.  We require someone with waitressing experience, barista skills and a friendly, can do attitude.  The wage rate is $13.75/hr with accommodation and meals provided at $100 per week. 

HOUSEKEEPERS

For the winter season till the end of October, we are requiring 2 x housekeepers.  We prefer to employ people with experience for this position.  It is 5-6 days per week and accommodation is provided.  The wage rate is $13.75 per hour.

Ohau Snow Fields Employment

Ohau Snow Fields is the original NZ high country boutique snow and ski field situated in the Southern Alps south of Mt Cook. Ohau has a double chair lift, a platter and a snow mat.

MAINTENANCE PERSON

We are seeking a person to join our small team who has experience in snow field maintenance and diesel motors. The position would suit someone who enjoys living and working in our magnificent NZ high country. The wage rate offered is subject to experience and is negotiable.

SNOW SCHOOL

All positions have been filled for the Snow School this coming season.
